Summer most definitely is my favourite season. Everything seems to be just a little easier. People are more relaxed, the weather should be is nice and sipping’ on that Raspberry Frizzante in the middle of the day (it has fruit in it!) is perfectly acceptable.
Furthermore, the “less is more” rule is more applicable than ever. Nobody likes to get all sweaty again right after taking a shower because of the stressful what-to-wear problem. Thus, versatile basics are key.
Next to sunnies (hello new Cutler and Gross Glasses) and bikinis, these are my must have summer basics:
[1.] Shirts
Worn as cover ups over swimwear, tucked into a pair of shorts or worn as a dress: shirts are on top of my summer must have list. You can wear them both day and night, and they’ll never let you down.
[2.] Flat sandals
There’s nothing worse than walking around in uncomfortable, blister-evoking heels all day. When it’s hot out, feet tend to swell a little. Give them the room they need by wearing a comfy, open shoe such as a pair of flat sandals.
[3.] Fedora hats
Protect yourself from overexposure to the sun in style, by wearing a cute hat. I’m currently on the hunt for the perfect Panama fedora.
